The Rank & File make up the bulk of the fighting forces on each side. On land these men stand shoulder to shoulder with to fire volleys at the enemy, while at sea they man the cannons and take boarding action.

In addition to the standard line infantry, each faction has a variant line infantry class. The British have the 92nd Gordon Highlanders, the French the Légion de la Vistule, and the Prussians the Lützow Freikorps.
